Clinical Science have generously sponsored a Young Research Worker's Prize, which was won by Marco Meloni (University of Bristol). 'Protective and Regenerative Actions of Nerve Growth Factor in the Post-Infarct Heart.'

The BSCR Prize was won by Vivek Sivaraman (Hatter Cardiovascular Institute, University College London). 'Protein Kinase C Epsilon and Delta Have Opposing Roles in Simulated Ischaemia-Reperfusion Injury in Human Myocardium.'

The University of Bristol prizes were won by: First Prize Aikaterini Tsaousi (University of Bristol); Second Prize Sarah Withers (University of Manchester); Third Prize Sapna Thakur (University of Surrey); Fourth Prize Gemma White (University of Oxford).
