Clinical Science have generously sponsored a Best Poster Prize, which was won by Michelle O'Doherty (the Centre for Vision and Vascular Science, Queen's University Belfast). 'Paracrine Release Of Interleukin 8 By Myeloid Angiogenic Cells Promotes Angiogenesis In The Ischaemic Retina'

The prize was presented by Dr Chris Newman, Chair of the BSCR.

The Young Investigator Prize was won by Jennifer Cole (Imperial College, London). 'Toll-Like Receptor 3 Expression is Increased in Atherosclerosis and Confers Protection Against Early Atherosclerotic Lesion Development and Weight Gain in Apolipoprotein E Deficient Mice'

The prize was presented by Professor Martin Bennett, Chairman of the BAS.
