Registration is now open and will close 18th August 2023, 17:00. Register here. Please ensure you select the correct ticket type (based on your career stage and BSCR membership status). Registration fees are:

  • Student (member of the BSCR): £40
  • Student (non-member of the BSCR): £60
  • Ordinary (member of the BSCR): £90
  • Ordinary (non-member of the BSCR): £150
  • Previous BSCR officers: no charge

The conference dinner is optional. Dinner tickets (which can be purchased when you register) cost:

  • Student: £30
  • Ordinary: £55
  • Previous BSCR officers: £55 (please select "ordinary")

If you are not a member of the BSCR and would like to take advantage of the member registration rates, join the BSCR first.

Abstract submission

Please submit your abstract here by 30th June 2023, 17:00.


The poster boards are 2 m high by 1 m wide. They will be installed on Monday morning and removed shortly after 2 PM on Tuesday. The main poster session will be from 17.30 to 19.00 on Monday, when poster presenters will be expected to be at their posters, but posters should be on display from Monday lunchtime until about 13.30 on Tuesday.


Accommodation in Oxford is expensive, unfortunately. Conference attendees can book a room at Wadham on a first-come first-served basis by emailing Wadham College Events Office Please state that you are attending the BSCR Autumn Meeting. Rooms are student rooms with shared bathrooms and cost  £87.50 + VAT. Alternatively rooms can be booked in several other Colleges via Wadham College is on Parks Road near the centre of the city.

Wadham is a 15 minute walk from Oxford Railway Station with regular trains to and from London Paddington Station and Birmingham New Street.

By Bus

There are regular buses from central London ( and London airports (

By Car

There is no parking available at Wadham College. A popular Park and Ride system operates from various locations on the Oxford ring road. Cars can be parked for up to 72 hours.

Limited paid parking is available in Oxford City centre.
